There's something moving and melancholy about this film, though it’s a pity this wasn’t approached with more bravery, imagination or rigour, but at least this biopic is a story worth telling for once.
Ultimately, ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ never leaves the impression it clearly intends to. At least the heartbreaking story behind the literary classic is able to rise above the lacklustre filmmaking.
