OF MONSTERS AND MEN

Turning up to a packed Enmore Theatre on a chilly Sydney night, it was clear the city was ready to make up for lost time - it was over six years since Of Monsters and Men had made their way down under, and the crowd of fans assembled weren't willing to miss a moment of it.

There was plenty of enthusiasm for Gordi; she was an obvious fit as support act for Of Monsters and Men, with her drifting melodic tunes and calming loops, chilling out the audience for her Icelandic co-stars.

Of Monsters and Men's arrival was thunderous in the darkness of the theatre, silhouetted as the crowd chanted for their commencement. Like so many enduring indie folk bands, the integrity and truth translated from their recorded music to their live show was immediately evident, filling the space with familiar songs that roused the packed Enmore auditorium.
