THE BEGUILED

Enter into the sheltered world of a southern girls boarding school during the American Civil War, where all is not as it seems. Filled with jealousy, betrayal and sexual tension, this Southern Gothic tale is one of macabre revenge and desire. Colin Farrell ('Phone Booth', 'In Bruges'), Nicole Kidman ('Lion', 'Big Little Lies'), Kirsten Dunst ('Fargo', 'Marie Antoinette') and Elle Fanning ('Maleficent', 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button') star in the seductive dramatic thriller brought to life by Oscar-winning writer and director Sofia Coppola ('Lost in Translation', 'The Virgin Suicides').

The story unfolds as injured enemy solider John McBurney (Farrell) is found, wounded, and takes refuge in a girls’ boarding school, run by the protective Martha Farnsworth (Kidman). Chaos ensues as this handsome man enters this sheltered school of girls and women, resulting in unhealthy competition between them involving luxurious gifts, delicious dinners and private meetings.

As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events. As the emotional temperature rises, so does the sense of foreboding towards this now unwelcome, intrusive man.
