CRIMSON PEAK

"Ghosts are real. This I know for sure." The sentiment of these chilling words echo from the opening frames to the closing credits in this uniquely haunting, gothic romance. Enter the mysterious home, placed atop a snowy white-capped mountain in the outskirts of an isolated English village. But beware; there is a presence within the house with chilling secrets to tell.

Aspiring author and heiress, Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska, 'Jane Eyre', 'Alice in Wonderland') lives with her father, Carter Cushing (Jim Beaver, 'Supernatural', 'Adaptation') in an opulent but lonesome mansion. Her heart is unexpectedly stolen away by seductive stranger Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston, 'Thor', 'The Avengers') and everything in Edith’s world becomes shadowed in gloom and intrigue. The two wed and Thomas wrenches his bride away from her hometown in America to live with him and his older sister Lucille (Jessica Chastain, 'The Martian', 'Zero Dark Thirty') in their family home, an eerie estate plotted on a land that oozes blood red-clay; a place filled with secrets that will haunt Edith forever. Between desire and darkness, mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak are real. This I know for sure."
