THE SEA OF TREES

The loss of a loved one leads Arthur Brennan across the world to the ‘Sea of Trees’, a dense forest lapping the foothills of Japan’s Mount Fuji, also known as the ‘Suicide Forest’.

Numbed by grief, Arthur enters the depths of the forest with the intention of taking his own life. But at the fateful moment he is interrupted by a Japanese man who no longer wishes to die and cannot find his way out of the forest. Pulled back into the struggle to survive in a ghostly landscape, Arthur embarks on a journey of reflection as the two men search for a way out of the forest, all the while searching for a reason to keep on living.
