CHASING MAVERICKS

The film centres on Jay Moriarty’s life as a boy growing up in Santa Cruz, who flourished at surfing at a young age, and his quest to ride the iconic Northern Californian break known as Mavericks, where winter swells bring treacherous waves the size of a five-story building. Moriarty prospered with guidance from local lifeguard and mentor Rick “Frosty” Hesson, forging a relationship that transformed both their lives.
