The 12th St Jerome’s Laneway Festival line-up has arrived. A typical programming of local and international buzz acts on the precipice of superstardom laced with some alternative favourites makes for an excellent way to catch all the acts who will dominate the coming year in one smooth summer swoop.
Highlights of the class of 2016 include Beach House touring their impressive dream-pop/shoe-gaze inspired ‘Depression Cherry’, scottish synth poppers Churches returning to the festival with a new record in tow.
Local hot-shot producers Flume and Japanese Wallpaper, enigmatic electro pop voyagers Grimes and Purity Ring, as well as lauded Canadian Tobias Jesso Jr. and New York prog act Battles.
Local grunge heroes Violent Soho and The Smith Street Band lead the festival’s guitar-based inclusions, alongside U.S. garage rockers Fidlar and rising Perth outfit Methyl Ethel.
